Eight Douglas County student-athletes have signed letters-of-intent to play in the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC) next season.

Four members of the top-ranked Roseburg baseball team will continue their careers at the next level. Darin Nelson and Boog Leach are headed to Linn-Benton; second baseman Connor Newell has signed with Mt. Hood; and Mike Morin will play for Treasure Valley.

Southwestern Oregon is getting three local standouts including Glide's Tyler Gordon (baseball); AJ Nay of South Umpqua (soccer); and Glendale's Morgan Streeter (softball).

North Douglas High's Kassidee Rice will play volleyball for Chemeketa.
