Roseburg Dr. Stewart’s won its opening round game at the Star Spangled American Legion baseball tournament Thursday afternoon in Corvallis.

The Docs (1-3, 10-11) trailed 7-2 after two innings, but exploded for eight runs in the top of the third enroute to a 14-9 victory over the East County Knights.

Austin Potter picked up the win in relief of starting pitcher Taler Jensen.

Dr. Stewart's is back in action Friday afternoon at 4:00PM.
