Premier Insurance won the battle for Roseburg with a 3-2 victory over rival Pepsi Friday afternoon in North Bend.

Zach Rose hit a two-run homer and Connor Clack had an RBI single as Premier (19-19) scored all three of its runs in the sixth inning. Friday's win marked the first time Premier Insurance has beaten Pepsi in six meetings between the two teams. 

The loss also eliminated the Bottlecaps (20-10) from the single-A American Legion baseball state tournament.

Cody Watkins hit a solo home run for Pepsi.
