Yoncalla High School will move down a classification beginning with the 2012-13 school year.
 
Last year, the OSAA's executive board approved the request for the Eagles' athletic programs to drop from Class 2A to Class 1A.

The Yoncalla football team will be placed in Special District 5, while Douglas County's other 1A football programs, Camas Valley and Elkton, will remain in Special District 2.

The YHS volleyball program is joining the Skyline League which includes county schools Camas Valley, Elkton and Umpqua Valley Christian.
