Umpqua Community College is home to the South Region's defensive 'player of the week'.
Freshman libero Alexis Ruffing finished with 151 digs in six matches in helping guide the Riverhawks to a 4-2 record.
"Alexis's play is significant to our winning and success," UCC head coach Chris Werner said. "Her work ethic and mental toughness will make her one of the top libero's in our league."
The 5'3" freshman came to Umpqua from Bishop Kelly High School in Mt. Home, Idaho.
