RHS_FB_092112Roseburg lost its third consecutive game of the season suffering a 26-12 setback to Thurston during a Southwest Conference football game Friday night at Finlay Field.

The Colts (2-0, 2-2) scored the first 20 points of the contest before the Indians could get on the board. RHS (0-2, 1-3) made it close late in the third quarter when Hayden Lent tossed a TD pass to Travis Dever to make it a 20-12 ballgame.

Thurston would add one more score to give the visitors the 14 point victory.

Douglas (2-2) stopped a two-game skid with a 27-20 win at North Valley; South Umpqua (1-3) jumped out to a 45-0 halftime lead and cruised to a 65-8 triumph over Bandon; Sutherlin (1-3) lost to Sweet Home 47-29; and Glide (4-0) stayed unbeaten with a 36-24 win at Illinois Valley.

Scio handed Oakland (2-1) a 28-7 loss; North Douglas (2-2) beat Chemawa 18-7; Reedsport lost to Bonanza 55-6; and Glendale was beaten by Rogue River 54-6.

Top-ranked Camas Valley (3-0, 4-0) upended North Lake 58-0; Elkton (3-0, 3-1) stayed perfect in league with a 44-14 win over Butte Falls;and Yoncalla (0-1, 1-2) lost its conference opener 73-18 to Lowell.
