H_Lent_2012Roseburg tries to snap a three-game losing streak when the Indians travel to South Eugene for a Southwest Conference football game Friday night.

The Indians (0-1, 1-3) are coming off a 26-12 home loss to Thurston and have not won since a season opening victory against South Salem back on August 31.

It's the opening week of Far West League action as South Umpqua (1-3) welcomes 2011 league champion Siuslaw (3-0); Sutherlin (1-3) is at home with Brookings-Harbor (1-2); and the Douglas Trojans (2-2) head to the coast for a battle with North Bend (3-1).

Eight other Douglas County teams hit the gridiron including unbeaten Glide (4-0) facing its toughest test of the season against visiting Central Linn (3-1); Oakland (2-1) will try and bounce back from its first loss of the season at Coquille (1-2); North Douglas plays at Rogue River; Riddle (2-1) hosts Etna, CA; Glendale (1-2) is on the road with Chiloquin (0-4); top-ranked Camas Valley (3-0, 4-0) welcomes Gilchrist (1-2, 1-2); Yoncalla (0-1, 1-2) plays a league game with Mapleton (0-1, 1-2); and Days Creek (1-2) travels to Chemawa.
