UCC_VB_092712Winchester, OR – Umpqua Community College volleyball player Kendahl Weiland has verbally committed to Dixie State College.

The 6’2” sophomore has been an integral part of UCC’s two-year turnaround as the Riverhawks are currently placed 3rd in the Southern Region with a 17-11 overall record.  Weiland also leads the team in kills with 423 in 28 matches.
 
“Kendahl is a talented volleyball player and her versatility enables me to play her in different positions,” first year head coach Chris Werner said.  “The athleticism and leadership she brings to the Riverhawks will carry over to Dixie State resulting in a positive-immediate impact for the Red Storm program”.

Dixie State College is an NCAA Division II school located in St. George, Utah.
