Sheldon_Toss_12Sheldon scored the first 21 points of the game and cruised to a 49-14 win over Roseburg Friday night.

One bright spot for the Indians (1-4, 2-5) was a 46 yard TD run by quarterback Hayden Lent that cut the Irish lead to 14 points. The state's top-ranked team went on to score a pair of second quarter touchdowns and went into halftime with a 35-7 advantage.

Elsewhere, Sutherlin ran all over visiting South Umpqua during their Far West League matchup.

The Bulldogs (1-2, 2-5) rushed for 458 yards and sophomore fullback Raymon Henderson scored three first half touchdowns in a 42-6 win over the visiting Lancers.

SU tailback Dakota Senger ran for over 100 yards and accounted for the team's only score.
