A dozen Douglas County football teams hit the gridiron Friday night.

South Umpqua tries to keep its slim playoff hopes alive against visiting Douglas. The Lancers (0-3, 1-6) need to win their final two games to have a chance at capturing the league's number three seed. The Trojans (1-2, 3-4) currently sit in third place in the Far West League.

Sutherlin (1-2, 2-5) has its hands full at North Bend (3-0, 6-1); Roseburg (1-4, 2-5) tries to snap a two-game losing skid when the Indians travel to Grants Pass; Glide (4-3) hosts Reedsport (2-4) in a non-league contest; Elkton (3-2, 3-3) is at home with Prospect (3-3, 4-3); and Yoncalla (1-3, 2-4) welcomes Crow (3-1, 6-1).

It's a battle for first place in the Mountain View Conference as Oakland (2-0, 4-2) hosts Monroe (2-0, 3-3); Glendale (0-2, 1-5) is at Oakridge (2-0, 2-4); and Riddle (0-2, 3-3) heads to North Douglas (0-2, 2-5).
