The Roseburg Indian volleyball squad begins its quest for a state title Wednesday, October 31, with a home match against visiting Forest Grove. The match begins at 6PM.
The Vikings come into the match with a 7-13 overall record, finishing with a 4-10 mark in the Pacific Conference. The Indians will attempt to continue their winning ways after posting a perfect 8-0 mark in the Southern Oregon Conference, winning the league title in the process. Roseburg is 24-9 overall on the season.
In the OSAA power rankings, the Vikings sit at #42 out of 44 Class 6A teams. The Indians are ranked 4th.
Roseburg is the top seeded team in its region of the bracket, with Forest Grove the eighth seeded team. The loser sees its season come to an end while the winner will advance to play the winner of Grant (#5 seed) and Tigard (#4) on Saturday, November 3. That winner will then advance to the final tournament site at Liberty High School in Hillsboro, November 8-9.
