A 2012 state championship trophy is within reach for a pair of Douglas County football teams.

Oakland is back in the Class 2A title game for the first time since 1964 and defending Class 1A state champion Camas Valley is in its third consecutive final.

On Saturday, the Oakers (10-2) will play Portland Christian (12-1) at 4:15PM at Hillsboro Stadium. The Hornets (12-0) battle unbeaten St. Paul (11-0) at Cottage Grove High School with kickoff set for noon.

The 1A championship is a rematch of the 2010 title game when the Buckaroos beat Camas Valley 22-8.

The Hornets are going after their sixth championship ('63,'64, '80, '90, '11) in the school's history.
