Umpqua Community College is ranked in the top ten in the initial NWAACC women's basketball poll.

The number three Riverhawks (8-1) received 51 points, just one point behind second-ranked Yakima Valley (52). Lane (80) sits in the top spot after sweeping all of the first place votes.

Rounding out the First Alaska Airlines Coaches Poll are Walla Walla (34); Clackamas (32); Bellevue (26); Skagit Valley (15) and Centralia (8).
