Umpqua Community College's Jennifer Lakin will play volleyball in Klamath Falls next season.
The sophomore has signed a letter-of-intent to play for the Oregon Institute of Technology (OIT). Lakin a 5’5” defensive specialist and outside hitter, received numerous post-season awards including second team All-league South, Academic All-American, and South Region sophomore All-star.
“Jennifer was a vital part of our success this year having to play as an outside hitter and defensive specialist at different points in the season,” head coach Chris Werner explained. “She is extremely volleyball savvy and an incredibly smooth player."
"I am very blessed and excited to be joining a great OIT volleyball program," Lakin said. "Playing at a four-year university has been my dream and I am very thankful to have this amazing opportunity ahead of me.”
The UCC standout will pursue a degree in medical imaging.
