Former University of Oregon quarterback Chris Miller is the new head football coach at South Eugene High School.
This is Miller's second stint with the Axemen serving as the head coach from 2002-2006. In five seasons, South Eugene had a 30-13 record while making the state playoffs four times.
Miller graduated from Sheldon High School in 1983 and played for the University of Oregon from 1983-86. He also played 10 seasons in the National Football League.
Last season, the Axemen finished 0-7 in the Southwest Conference and 0-10 overall.
