The Far West League is adding a seventh member school in 2013.

In December, the Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) approved the request by Marshfield High School in Coos Bay to drop from Class 5A to 4A beginning next fall.

Marshfield's average student enrollment (766) is below the current maximum limit of 869, but is still the largest in the Far West League.

Here are the enrollment numbers at the other six FWL schools: North Bend (638); Brookings-Harbor (532); Siuslaw (441), Sutherlin (428), Douglas (425); and South Umpqua (387).

In the past two years, the Marshfield football team has won only one game.
