Douglas County is home to high school football's 2A and 1A Players of the Year.

Oakland's David Henry and Camas Valley's Eli Wolfe received the top honors after helping guide their teams to state titles in 2012. Henry was named the offensive and defensive  Player of the Year in Class 2A and Oakland's Ben Lane was tabbed Coach of the Year.

Joining Henry on the first team were Austin Collins (OL/DL) and junior Jeb Harper (DB). Second team honors went to Ryan Comstock (RB/DB); Logan O'Hara (QB); Harper (WR); and Hayden Snow (OL). Snow was also an honorable mention punter.

Wolfe, a first-team running back and defensive back, was selected as the 1A Player of the Year, while his dad, Eli Wolfe, was named the state's best coach.

Four other Hornets made the first team including Caleb Lindsey (WR); Kila Peck (OG/DL); Dewey Talley (C); and Matt Thompson (DE).

Kai Wolfe (LB) was named to the second team.

Other local athletes earning Honorable Mention were Roseburg's Zach Wyscaver (OL/DL); and Jake Heverly (DB); Douglas High's Nate Vosika (RB/DB); and Glide senior Brandon Halter (DB).
