Umpqua edged Portland 76-75 in an NWAACC womens basketball game on Saturday afternoon.

Shannon Jackson scored 23 points as the fourth-place Riverhawks improved to 7-5 in league and 17-8 overall.

Three other UCC players finished in double figures including Kyndal Charleston (17); Rachel Sample (16); and Asia Smith (12).

The Umpqua men lost 80-71.
