Austin Page had 16 points as South Umpqua beat La Grande 65-57 in a Class 4A play-in game Friday night in Eastern Oregon.

With the victory, the Lancers (13-11) qualified for next week's OSAA playoffs.

Three other SU players scored in double-figures including Nathan Phillips (12); Matt Yarbrough (11); and Erik Johnson (10).

In Sutherlin, Derrik Wattman poured-in 22 points to lead the Bulldogs to an 85-62 win over visiting Mazama.

Ryan Eakin added 18 points as Sutherlin improves to 18-7 on the season.
