South Umpqua is one victory away from clinching a spot in the OSAA Class 4A baseball playoffs.

The Lancers (12-10) finished the regular season in third place in the Far West League and must win a play-in game to advance to the round of 16. SU will travel to La Grande on Friday, May 17 with first pitch set for 5:00PM.

The Tigers (14-8) are the number two representative out of the Greater Oregon League.

On March 27, La Grande took 6A Roseburg into extra innings before falling to the Indians by a score of 8-7.
