The 2A/1A softball state championship game will feature a team from Douglas County for the second consecutive year.

Yoncalla (25-4) eliminated league-rival Glendale 6-5 in a semifinal matchup on Tuesday.

The Eagles play Union (25-3) in the title game Friday at 1:00PM at the Oregon State softball complex in Corvallis.

Last season, Glendale lost to Heppner in the state championship game.

Yoncalla is the only local softball team remaining after Roseburg had its season come to an end at the hands of Glencoe, 5-2.
