Umpqua Valley Christian righthander Jake Forrester was a unanimous choice for the 2013 Class 2A/1A baseball all-state team.

The junior was the only Douglas County player named to the top team after leading the Monarchs to a 25-6 record and a state runner-up finish.

Grant Union's Jordan Ackerman was the state's Player of the Year and Stanfield's Bryan Johnson was the Coach of the Year.

Special District 4 players named to the second team were UVC's Joel Graham (OF); North Douglas High's Tracy Doudna (OF); Erik Rodgers (P) of Riddle; and Yoncalla's Dylan Dover (C).

Oakland's Ryan Comstock (IF) was a third team selection; and UVC's Greg Suhrstedt (C); and Reedsport's James Hixenbaugh (1B) were named honorable mention.
