Eight Douglas County football teams kickoff the 2013 season Friday night.

Roseburg travels to South Salem; Douglas plays host to Elmira; Sutherlin welcomes North Valley; South Umpqua is at Newport; Glide hosts Oakridge; Class 2A defending state champion Oakland is in Waldport; Elkton is home with Mohawk; and two-time defending champion Camas Valley take on St. Paul at the Dufur Classic.

All contests played on Friday are considered endowment games with 50 percent of the gross gate receipts going to the OSAA Foundation.
