Roseburg never trailed in a 47-21 opening night victory Friday at South Salem.

The Indians scored six rushing touchdowns, including four by senior fullback River Sigrest. Quarterback Cody Walker and running back Levi Holden also scored a TD in the win.

All eight Southwest Conference teams were in action as Sheldon beat Southridge 35-15; South Medford dropped a 19-14 contest to West Salem; South Eugene downed Churchill 35-14; Grants Pass lost to Clackamas 42-23; Crater was beaten by Tualatin 35-32; North Medford lost at McNary 20-13; and Thurston dropped its home opener 37-34 to Aloha.
