The 4A Far West League and the 6A Southwest Conference open league play this weekend.

Douglas (1-1) welcomes the FWL's newest member, Marshfield (0-1), Friday night in Winston; South Umpqua (1-1) travels to Florence for a battle with Siuslaw (2-0); Sutherlin (0-2) is in Brookings-Harbor; and Roseburg (2-0) kicks off the conference season at home against Crater (0-2).

Elsewhere, Glide (1-1) goes to Rogue River; North Douglas is in Santiam; Reedsport plays host to Waldport; Elkton (1-0, 2-0) travels to Gilchrist; Days Creek is home with Prospect; and Glendale hits the road for Myrtle Point.

Four local teams are in action Saturday as Oakland (2-0) play a non-league game at Bandon; Camas Valley (1-0, 2-0) goes to Butte Falls; Riddle (0-2) travels to Medford for a game with St. Mary's; and Yoncalla (2-0) plays a road game with Joseph.
