Douglas takes on Siuslaw this Friday in a battle for first place in the Far West League.

The Trojans (2-0, 4-1) will travel to Florence for a matchup with the unbeaten Vikings (3-0, 5-0). Meanwhile, South Umpqua (0-2, 2-3) tries to end a 19-game FWL losing streak when the Lancers play host to Sutherlin (1-2, 1-4) in Tri City.

Eleven other Douglas County teams are in action as Roseburg (3-0, 5-0) plays at South Medford (1-2, 1-4); Oakland (5-0) and Riddle (0-5) meet in the Mountain View Conference opener for both teams; Camas Valley (3-0, 5-0) goes to Gilchrist (2-2, 2-2); and Yoncalla (1-1, 4-1) is in Mapleton (1-1, 3-1).

There are four non-league games on the local schedule with Glide (2-2) hosting Myrtle Point (3-1); Reedsport (3-1) is home with Coquille (0-4); Days Creek (5-0) travels to Elkton (4-1); and North Douglas (0-4) welcomes Glendale (1-2).
