High School sports in Oregon will get a new look next season.

The Oregon School Activities Association has not made a final decision on the proposed changes, but many Douglas County schools would be affected.

Roseburg would play in the Southern Oregon Conference with newcomer Willamette replacing Crater in the Class 6A league.

Sutherlin would get a new home in 2014 moving to the Sky-Em League with Cottage Grove, Elmira, Junction City, Sisters and Sweet Home. Douglas and South Umpqua would stay put in the six-team Far West League.

Glide is another local team that would make a change heading to the 3A Southern Cascade League with Coquille, Lakeview, Illinois Valley, Rogue River and Cascade Christian.

Oakland and Riddle would be the only two Douglas County teams remaining in the 2A Mountain View Conference along with Monroe, Oakridge, Crow, Bonanza and Lost River. 

Reedsport would play in the revamped 2A Sunset Conference with Bandon, Myrtle Point, Gold Beach, Waldport and Toledo.
 
The Class 1A Skyline League would increase to 11 teams with Camas Valley, Elkton, Umpqua Valley Christian, New Hope, Powers, Pacific, Yoncalla, Glendale, Days Creek, North Douglas and Rogue Valley Adventist of Medford.

If approved, the changes would begin in the fall of 2014.
