South Umpqua has qualified for the Class 4A play-in round despite its fourth place finish in the Far West League.

The final 2013 football rankings have the Lancers 17th out of 43 teams in their classification. South Umpqua (5-4) will travel to Seaside on Friday, November 1 with the winner earning a trip to the OSAA state playoffs.

The Seagulls (7-2), the number three seed out of the Cowapa League, have a defense that has allowed just 94 points in nine games.

Friday's play-in game kicks off at 7:00PM.
