PORTLAND, Ore. – The high-flying Multnomah University offense was held in check on Saturday as the Northwest Christian University men's basketball team picked up a 111-73 victory. The Lions were held to a season-low scoring output after averaging over 112 points per game on the season.

Offensively, the Lions could do nothing to stop the NCU attack with NCU shooting 58% to produce their own highest point total in over nine years. The last time NCU scored 111 was against Walla Walla College on February 21, 2004. The Beacons also set a school record with 15 three-pointers, breaking the old mark of 13 set in 2010. The single-game assist record also fell on Saturday as Northwest Christian posted 32 assists. Additionally, the team out-rebounded MU 54-35, setting a new record for rebounds with two more than had been collected against Holy Names on November 9, 2007.

Four players had at least 18 points for the Beacons, led by Coleton Baker with 36. It was the highest single-game point total for a Beacon since Pete Moore scored 37 points on January 25, 2003. Baker shot 15-for-22 from the field and was 6-for-12 from three-point range, tying the NCU record for most attempts from beyond the arc. Baker added nine rebounds, six assists, two blocks, and two steals.
