Klamath Union used a fourth quarter run to beat South Umpqua 71-62 during an opening round game Friday afternoon at the Douglas Holiday basketball tournament in Winston.

The Pelicans (1-2) erased a three-point deficit heading into the final quarter by outscoring the Lancers 23-11.

SU (1-1) was led in scoring by Erik Johnson (23), Cody Gray (13), Alex Thompson (8) and Alex Kelly (6).
