Katherine Miller scored 18 points to lead Douglas to a 53-47 Far West League win over South Umpqua Tuesday night in Winston.

The senior hit 16-of-20 free throws as the Trojans improved to 4-1 in league and 8-6 overall. Kasaundra Maunu scored 14 points and sophomore Emelee Mueller added 12 points for the Lancers (1-4, 2-14).

Erik Johnson had 21 points and Nathan Thompson finished with 13 points as the SU boys ended a four-game losing streak with a 56-43 victory over Douglas.

The Lancers are now 2-3 in the FWL.
