Douglas County will be well represented at this weekend's OSAA 4A, 3A and 2A/1A wrestling state championships.

A total of 25 wrestlers from six area schools qualified for the two-day event taking place Friday and Saturday at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland.

South Umpqua's Derrick Hargraves (106); Eli Garrard (138) and Austin Mitchell (195) of Douglas; and Sutherlin's Lucas Erickson (145) and Thomas Smalley (220) will compete at the 4A championships.

Glide has 13 wrestlers at the Class 3A tournament including Ryland Parazoo (106), Corey Putvin (106), Devin Sheldon (126), Bryson Belloir (132), Devin Freeman (138), Dillon Potter (145), Walker Damewood (145), Jake Forrester (152), Alex Holland (152), Garret Short (160), Taylor Brown (170), William Beard (170) and Mikel Farley (195).

Seven 2A/1A wrestlers also made the state championships led by Oakland's Dylan Duncan (106), Colby DeVasier (138), Ian Patt (145), Jayce Bingham (160) and Angus Swan (195), along with Glendale's Ricky Esparza (113) and Chilton Dill (285).
