The battle of the Hawks went to Columbia Basin in Tuesday night's NWAACC championship basketball game.

Umpqua (24-7) struggled in the first half and trailed by 18 points at the break. The Hawks (27-4) held on for the 86-74 behind a game-high 29 points from Courtney Nelson.

Asia Smith and Rachel Sample each scored 20 points for the Riverhawks.
