North Douglas fell short in a 41-37 opening round loss to Santiam Wednesday night at the OSAA 2A state tournament in Pendleton.

The Wolverines held a 36-24 lead midway through the fourth quarter before the Mountain View Conference champions went on an 11-0 run thanks to a pair of three-pointers from sophomore Dani Baker and one by senior Savannah Mast.

Baker led the Warriors with 11 points.

North Douglas (25-4) takes on Union in a consolation semifinal game Thursday at 10:45AM.
