The season is over the Sutherlin boys basketball team after suffering a 57-56 playoff loss at Cottage Grove.

The Bulldogs (19-7) erased a 13-point first quarter deficit and eventually tied the game at 56, but a late free throw by the Lions made the difference as Cottage Grove qualifies for next week's OSAA 4A state tournament in Corvallis.

Sutherlin junior Noah Caillier had a team-high 22 points and senior Treven Anspach added 21 points before fouling out late in the game.
