The Douglas County Express 14-and-under club baseball team came out swinging Sunday, battling rainy conditions to knock off Klamath Falls in a doubleheader sweep at Sunshine Park in Roseburg.

The Express outscored Klamath 37-5 overall on the day, winning the opener 16-2 and the nightcap 21-3. Both games ended early due to the 10-run mercy rule.

With the wins, DC improved to 6-3 overall on the season. The Express plays next at Medford in the Diamond Dash Tournament Saturday & Sunday (May 3-4).
