Body ShopSix local women and one man are competing at the Oregon Ironman event on Saturday, May 17, in Lincoln City.

The women have been training as Team Body Shop, including Paris Sanders-Call, Shelly Sanders, Kivonna Coccia, Jennifer Rowberry-Beckenhauer, Lynn Collins, and Jamie Willeke. All participants are competing in the figure competition, with Coccia competing in both the figure and fitness class and Sanders-Call competing in bikini.

"We have a good group of girls and I think they're going to do really well," trainer Dianna Brock said.

On the men's side, Garrett Bracken will be competing in his first show in the physique category.

Doors open at 7p.m. Saturday at the Chinook Winds Casino in Lincoln City for the Oregon Ironman Bodybuilding, Women's Physique, Figure and Fitness Championships. Men's Physique and Women's Bikini Championships are earlier in the day, with doors opening at 11a.m. For information on this NPC Oregon event, click here.

In April, Paris Sanders-Call placed eighth out of 20 contestants at the Emerald Cup in Bellevue, WA. The Cup is one the largest bodybuilding shows on the west coast. It was Sanders-Call's third competitive show.
