Hane2 RHS 0498A state champion wrestler from Roseburg will continue his career in college.

Max Hane signed a letter-of-intent with Southern Oregon University Wednesday afternoon at Roseburg High School.

"I chose Southern Oregon because it's close to home and I really like the campus," Hane said. "I'm ready to get down there and go to work."

"Max is a high caliber athlete and I had a chance to watch him wrestle in the finals," SOU head coach Mike Ritchey said. "He's one of the best kids in the state because of his ability to attack and stay on the offense."

Hane will join former Douglas High School standout Trinity Castner in Ashland.
