A dozen current and former high school athletes from Douglas County will be playing community college athletics in Oregon next season.
The student-athletes signed letters-of-intent with schools in the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC).
Southwest Oregon in Coos Bay will have eight familiar names including Michael Morin (Roseburg, baseball); Isaias Sanchez (Roseburg, soccer); Robert Singleton (Roseburg, track); Benjamin Rodriguez (Roseburg, cross country/track); Austin Hutchins (Roseburg, track); Justin Bennett (South Umpqua, baseball); Cameron Reese (South Umpqua, baseball); and Gabriele White (Reedsport, volleyball).
Clackamas signed Jace Martineau (Sutherlin, baseball) and Jordyn Parazoo (Glide, volleyball); Emily Deardorff (Glide, volleyball) will attend Umpqua; and Cory Finlay (Glide, baseball) heads to Chemeketa.
