Six local golfers have qualified for the upcoming OSAA state championships.

The boys team from Sutherlin finished in second place at the district tournament and will compete at the Class 4A event May 19 and 20 at the Eagle Crest Ridge Course in Redmond.

The Bulldogs include Tyler Franke, Ian Downs, Scout Meyer, Matt Tew and Matt Black.

Roseburg junior Claire Dittemore qualified for the girls 6A tournament taking place at the Emerald Valley Golf Club in Creswell.
