Roseburg's Dr. Stewart's played fairly even with the visitors from Fairfield, CA, but after 17 innings and five hours of baseball the Docs wound up on the losing end of both games Monday night at Legion Memorial Field in Roseburg.

In the opener, the lead changed hands throughout the game until Fairfield finally pulled out a 5-4 win in ten innings. Chris Stone went 3-for-5 for the Docs with a double, an RBI and a run scored. Both teams committed four errors in the contest.

Roseburg wasn't able to generate much offense in the nightcap as the Expos (18-7 overall) defeated the Docs 4-1.

The winless Docs fell to 0-6 overall on the season. They open Area-4 League play Tuesday at Swede Johnson Stadium in Eugene with a doubleheader against the Eugene Challengers.
