Central Point handed Roseburg Pepsi an opening day loss at the single-A American Legion Baseball State Tournament.

The Area 4 South champions (28-10) beat the Bottlecaps 3-2 Wednesday afternoon at Harry and David Field in Medford.

Roseburg righthander Will Reddekopp pitched a complete game, but took the loss. Reddekopp and catcher Spencer Taylor also had a pair of hits for the Bottlecaps. 

Next up, Pepsi (21-10) plays an elimination game Thursday at 12:30PM.
