Ray Henderson rushed for 153 yards and a touchdown in Sutherlin's 20-6 win over Marshfield in a non-league game Friday night on the Bulldogs' home field.

Junior linebacker Wryland McKnight had a big night defensively finishing with three sacks and a pair of tipped passes. He also rushed for 51 yards on just two carries.

South Umpqua (1-1) suffered a 30-24 overtime loss to visiting North Valley despite a pair of Erik Johnson touchdown passes. The senior tossed a 10 yard strike to tight end Cameron Everett and a 20 yard TD pass to junior wide receiver Shawn Rigsby.

Colton Fuller threw for 461 yards and six touchdowns to lead Days Creek (2-0) to a 50-34 victory over Prospect. Sean Orrison had nine receptions for 328 yards and three TD's.
