Friday marks the opening of the conference season for a number of Douglas County teams.

Winless Douglas (0-3) will have its hands full in a Far West League matchup with powerhouse North Bend (3-0); South Umpqua (2-1) welcomes third-ranked Siuslaw (3-0); and Sutherlin (1-2) plays its first Sky-Em league game at Sisters (1-2).    

There's a full slate of 1A action with Camas Valley (0-1) traveling to Glendale (1-2); Days Creek (2-0) hosts Elkton (0-2); North Douglas (2-1) is on the road with McKenzie (0-3); and Yoncalla (2-1) entertains Mohawk (1-2).

Roseburg (0-1, 1-2) looks to bounce back from last week's 56-7 loss at North Medford when the Indians play host to Willamette (0-1, 0-3); and the Riddle Irish (1-0, 1-2) welcome Oakland (0-0, 1-2) for a Mountain View Conference game.

Two non-league matchups round out the schedule as Glide (2-1) travels to Myrtle Point (1-2); and Reedsport (2-1) hosts Santiam.
