The Glendale Pirates couldn't keep up with the hot play of Camas Valley in volleyball Thursday night, losing in three straight games 25-14,  25-17, 25-12. The Pirates fell to 3-6 overall on the season with the loss and will host Butte Falls on Saturday. The Hornets improved to 5-3 and will travel to Powers Saturday. Camas Valley defeated the Cruisers easily Tuesday night with a sweep at home.

In other matches, North Douglas swept Umpqua Valley Christian, Reedsport defeated Gold Beach in three straight, and Yoncalla fell to Powers in a match that took all five games to decide, with the Cruisers winning 15-11 in the final frame.

Glide, Riddle and Canyonville Christian all suffered losses.

In girls soccer action, both Glide and South Umpqua were victorious Thursday afternoon.
