The 2014 football season is over for the South Umpqua Lancers.

North Bend handed SU a 42-13 loss in an OSAA 4A state playoff game Friday night at Vic Adams Field. The Bulldogs (10-0) jumped out to a 35-0 halftime lead thanks to four Cam Lucero touchdown passes.

Junior tailback Kyler Merritt scored both touchdowns for the Lancers which finished the season with an overall record of 8-3.

Elsewhere, Oakland lost to Knappa 12-7 in a Class 2A quarterfinal game in Astoria.
