Roseburg High School's David Irvine is going to play Division I college baseball.
The senior catcher signed his letter-of-intent with the University of Washington Wednesday morning at a press conference in front of friends and family at the RHS Career Center.
"I committed to Washington as a sophomore," Irvine said. "I love the campus, I love the coaches and it's always been my first choice."
"He's a fantastic kid, a great student and deserves everything that he has achieved," Roseburg baseball coach Troy Thompson said. "He's put in a lot of time and effort over the years and I'm definitely looking forward to this spring."
