Fundraising efforts are still on-going for the proposed turf field at Sutherlin High School.

The new field will be available for the entire school district as well as community members of all ages in Sutherlin and the surrounding rural communities. The facility will be used for football, soccer, track, OSAA playoff games, district and regional competitions for all leagues, physical education classes, Park-n-Recreation team events and public access to the community.

The 1.3 million dollar improvement is 75% funded, but only if the community provides the remaining 25% by March 1, 2015.
