Umpqua struggled in the second half of its NWAC mens basketball game Saturday afternoon at Mt. Hood.

The Riverhawks (4-3, 13-8) trailed 32-31 at the break before being outscored by 14 points over the final 20 minutes in an 81-66 loss to the Hawks.

Jordan Madrid-Andrews led UCC with 15 points, while Titus Rice and Charles Porter finished with 12 points apiece.

The second-ranked Umpqua women won their South Region game 65-49 over Mt. Hood.

Three players scored in double figues including Ashli Payne (16), Anna Mumm (15) and Madison Pape (11).
