North Douglas was impressive in its opening round game at the OSAA 1A state tournament in Baker City.

Kali Frieze hit five three-pointers and scored a game-high 22 points in a 56-28 win over McKenzie. Dani Baker added 14 points as the Warriors improved to 26-3 on the season.

Next up, a semifinal meeting Friday at 6:30PM with Country Christian.

The Cougars (24-4) advanced by beating Elkton 61-36.

Laura Holcomb led the Elks (19-10) with 12 points.
